MB Photography | Image of the Month | March

March 2016 - Regent's Canal

A rather pleasing reflection captured on a family trip to London and something quite far removed from my usual natural/rural-based landscape images. I've always been a great fan of urban photography, in fact street photography is one of the genres I most admire. I don't take many images like this myself, mainly because I'm not very good at it, but also because there are not a lot of urban photography opportunities around the Brecon Beacons.

My friends at Ffoton Wales are currently promoting urban photography and are asking people to post images on Flickr and Instagram tagged with #urbanwales, so I have been encouraged to scour my archives and put some of my efforts on Instagram. I urge you to join in too, as Ffoton are offering several free tickets to the EYE International Photography Festival for photographers whose images are selected each month from now until August.
